Mold is an eyesore.
It grows in the concrete, and if left unchecked can turn the off-white color to a dark, nasty and unattractive shade of black. Not only is it ugly, moldy concrete becomes very slick when wet. Mold can infest any concrete that is unsealed: driveways, patios, and sidewalks are often affected. Luckily, the solution is relatively simple. Give Agent Clean a call.
It is important to note that not all pressure washing companies are the same. When the issue is mold, simply blasting it away with a pressure washer doesn’t always fix the core problem. Mold is a spore-based pest. If left untreated, the mold will simply re-settle. We approach concrete cleaning for mold in a different fashion.
Mold needs to be killed. Just like the mildew and mold growing on siding and roofs, the mold in the concrete can be killed. We can treat the concrete with a soft wash solution, rinse it, then pressure wash it, thus getting rid of the mold for a long time. It may still re-settle, but it won’t be nearly as quick.
Ultimately, if you want the best protection against mold, you should have us seal the concrete. Concrete sealer is a transparent solution that fills the pores of the concrete. This makes it incredibly difficult for the mold to infest the surface. This also helps prevent water from dwelling on the concrete, or soaking into it, thus extending the life of your patios, sidewalks, and driveways.
Concrete cleaning with Agent Clean is the best way to remove mold from your concrete. Give us a call for a free estimate!
